Fundraising Volunteers

We need outgoing, energetic and motivated individuals to fundraise within the Haringey and Islington community.

We need fundraisers within our premises to answer the donation hotline, as well as actively phoning up potential private and corporate donors. We also fundraise outside supermarkets, shopping centers, mosques etc.

This is a great opportunity for someone to meet new people within the community, gain real hands on experience fundraising and working within a not-for-profit organisation. This is a small charity therefore volunteers can be more involved in the real management of projects.

The ideal candidate will be working alongside other volunteers. The position is highly flexible, there is no minimum requirement of hours.

Events Volunteers

We need creative, motivated and organised individuals to create events within the Haringey and Islington community.

Event context is up to you, whether it be a Fun Run, Cultural Event, Conference, Cake Sale, Tea Party, Ball, BBQ, Car Boot Sale, Crafts Fair, Football Tournament, Garden Party, Gaming Evening, Pampering Night, Books Fair, Bikes Challenge or something else! It’s totally up to you!

The role includes: creating proposals, scheduling, budgeting, booking venues, booking resources, booking entertainment, conducting risk assessments and making sure events are legally compliant. There will also be liaison with marketing and graphic design department.

This is a great opportunity for someone to gain real hands on experience managing events and working within a not-for-profit organisation. This is a small charity therefore volunteers are more involved in the real management of projects.

We require an individual with some event management knowledge, whether currently at university or with previous events management experience. Strong negotiation skills and budgeting skills are essential. You would be working alongside other volunteers. The position is highly flexible a minimum requirement of 6 hours per week, with a weekly meeting with the team.

Marketing Volunteers

We need creative, motivated and organised individuals to strategically promote ADT to the local communities of Haringey and Islington.

The role requires recognising stakeholders of ADT, targeting certain groups within the community. There will be substantial database management required to build up prospective donors. Communicating with the local community through different institutions. Liaising with the graphic Design department for all printed and web materials. Distributing marketing materials. Liaising with the Events Team. Securing sponsorship for events. Event evaluation. Marketing evaluation.

This is a great opportunity for someone to gain real hands on experience marketing an organisation and working within the not-for-profit sector. This is a small charity therefore volunteers can be more involved in the real management of projects.

We require an individual with some marketing management knowledge, whether currently at university or with previous marketing management experience. Strong communication skills and negotiation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be working alongside other volunteers. The position is highly flexible a minimum requirement of 6 hours per week, with a weekly meeting with the team.

PR Volunteers

We need creative, motivated and organised individuals to strategically promote ADT to the local communities of Haringey and Islington, through the media and other communication channels.

The role includes: Creating PR strategies, liaising with publics, attracting high profile influential people, updating press kits, creating and maintaining media contacts database, writing press releases, writing quarterly newsletters and evaluating campaigns. Liaising with the graphic Design department for all printed and web materials. Liaising with the Events Team.

This is a great opportunity for someone to gain real hands on experience promoting an organisation through the media and working within the not-for-profit sector. This is a small charity therefore volunteers can be more involved in the real management of projects.

We require an individual with some PR knowledge, whether currently at university or with previous PR experience. Strong communication skills, networking skills and creative writing skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be working alongside other volunteers. The position is highly flexible a minimum requirement of 6 hours per week, with a weekly meeting with the team.

Administration Volunteer

We need organised and efficient individuals to work within our London office.

The role will include; Writing letters, emails, customer service, meeting greeting people, booking collections, dealing with petty cash, direct debit management and large scale mailers.

This is a great opportunity for someone to gain real hands on experience in an office environment and working within a not-for-profit organisation. This is a small charity therefore volunteers can be more involved in the real management of the charity.

No previous administration experience required. Good proficiency of English and math’s are essential. The ideal candidate will be working alongside other volunteers. The position is highly flexible a minimum requirement of 6 hours per week, with a weekly meeting with the team.
