“If a human dies, then his good deeds stop except for three: a Sadaqa Jariah (continuous charity), a beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” – Sahih Muslim
Sadaqah is the donating of money for the sole purpose of worshiping Allah (SWT), and the word jariyah means ‘ongoing’. If you give money to a Sadaqah Jariyah project, you will continue to receive rewards for your kindness for as long as people benefit from it. African Development Trust has a number or Sadaqah Jariyah projects that you can attribute your money. You can choose to donate your Zakat or Sadaqah to one of our projects, safe in the knowledge that your money is benefitting the needy on an ongoing basis.

You can donate your Zakat to our water well project. African Development Trust installs comprehensive water sanitation systems all across the world. These systems provide entire villages of people with clean drinking water for up to two decades. Donations to water systems allow local communities to drink safe water, and give them the chance to water their crops without having to travel for many miles to collect water from streams.
For just £300 you can pay for a hand pump in a village in Kashmir, Pakistan or Bangladesh.
Why not consider donating your Zakat towards taking care of an orphan. Just £420 provides an orphan with food, water, clothing, accommodation, education and emotional support for an entire year.
