Somalia Drought Crisis

Delegates from the African Development Trust, made a recent visit to one of the charity’s most concerned coutries – Somalia. They were able to see how aid projects were doing such as the mobile clinics and scools and also met those most affected with poverty to find out what are the most important issues to tackle.

During the visit, ADT found the main concerns which was affecting both people and livestock in all parts of Somalia, was drought. UNICEF puts the number of people that need emergency livelihood and life saving assistance at 43 per cent of the population. This is an emergency crisis.
