The iftar programme helps hundreds who struggle to find water and food, to continue to perform their religious rituals. Every day of Ramadhan Iftar is provided across different cities to help a person fast, than starve. The programme gives a person who’s fasting the best feelings of warmth and happiness through gathering on one table and meeting different brothers or sisters.
The Messenger of Allaah (peace be upon him) has said, “Whoever feeds a fasting person be it a date, or a sip of water or a gulp of milk, and the month is one the beginning of which is mercy, the middle of which is forgiveness and the end of which is freedom from the fire: whoever lightens the load of his subordinates, Allaah will forgive him and free him from the fire… And whoever quenches the thirst of a fasting person Allaah will give him drink from a special pool and he will never feel thirst until entry into Jannah.” [at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaymah, Ibn Hibban]
Children deserve to smile, and they deserve to celebrate Eid. ADT provides Eid clothing to those young hit hard by poverty. By providing these gifts we understand the physchological difficulties these communities face and work hard to help include them in the happiness and celebration enjoyed by the rest of their brethren across the world.
This is a special charity ADT provides to the poor and needy on Eid. Not only does it help the less fortunate enjoin in festivities just like us but it is obligatory for every member of the family to donate this at a rate of £5 per person in a household, and should be donated the day before Eid.
Allaah`s Messenger (peace be upon him) enjoined the payment of one Sa` of dates or one Sa` of barley as ‘Zakat-ul-Fitr’ on every Muslim, slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he (peace be upon him) ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Eid-ul-Fitr’ prayer.
